Amplified Events offers professional DJ, Lighting, and Photo Booth services in Northern Indiana, Southwest Michigan, and the Chicagoland area.
We love music. But what we really love, is throwing epic dance parties for you on your big day. We seamlessly mix music that elevates the mood of the room and gets your family and friends moving on the dance floor when it’s time to let loose.

Mike Kane - owner of amplified events
When I’m not DJing: I love spending time with my wife, Ashley and our kids, David, Sebastian, and Zoey. In my spare time, I love to be outside, hit up some karaoke, have a bon fire, and binge-watch Netflix.
In My Headphones: Fitz & The Tantrums, Lizzo, Third Eye Blind, Leon Bridges, Frank Sinatra, Hall & Oates, and anything from the 80’s!

How I got started: Music has always been a big part of my life: from playing guitar in bands when I was younger, to DJing parties in college, to DJing professionally today. Before, becoming a professional wedding DJ, I started out my career as a social worker where I spent a lot time working with people in difficult situations. I learned from this experience that I love listening to people and helping them find solutions to the issues they’re facing.
My entire life, I have always enjoyed spending time with friends and getting everyone to have an amazing time. I have now been DJing weddings for 15 years and I truly feel that I found my calling. Nothing compares to being a part of someone’s wedding. It is such an important day in a person’s life and I love helping to make it special.
Chris Zart - General manager of amplified events
How I got started: I have known Mike Kane for the past 9 years now. Within that time I have not only gotten the chance to work with him and gain so much experience becoming a DJ, but I have developed an amazing friendship. Being part of the wedding industry has given me so many interesting stories to tell, and I am now happily running our new photobooth business outside of working as a DJ.
When I’m not DJing:
I absolutely love to cook. Making amazing food for my friends and family fills my soul. Music is necessary for me to exist. I cannot stand silence, and always need something playing to relax or sing my heart out to.

How I got started: I have spent many years as a music teacher, and I had a friend suggest I pick up Djing. Having my summers free I saw this as a perfect opportunity, and I have loved it every since!
When I’m not DJing:
I work for an audio equipment distributor. Music has been an important part of my life for a long time, and I love it from a technical, and creative perspective.

How I got started: Similar to Jon, I have worked with Mike Kane and Chris Zart for multiple years now. Music has always been an important part of my life and I love that I can transfer those skills to my job!
When I’m not DJing:
I am obsessed with Chicago culture, especially the underground art/music scene. I love going to shows with my friends, seeing bands that have under 8,000 plays on Spotify is my jam.

How I got started: I have been working with Mike Kane and Chris Zart for the past 8 years. I never knew how much I would love working for someone’s wedding day, and I love being involved in every part. Seeing how every ceremony is unique and different is my favorite part. It is so amazing being involved in such a special day.
